Mission Statement

The WARM2Kids Charitable Foundation's goal is to become the 21st century's leader in providing financial, educational, and emotional support for today's youth. The foundation supports youth education, development and mentoring programs nationwide; and awards, scholarships and grants designed to inspire role model behavior.

We are achieving our goal by earning the trust of caring individuals, leading corporations and institutions, other charitable organizations, and most importantly the teens and families who benefit from our community programs.

WARM2Kids Charitable Foundation believes in the old African proverb which states, "It takes a whole village to raise a child," for that reason, We're All Role Models. WARM2Kids and WARM2Kids Charitable Foundation also promote the idea of "Doing good while you're doing good!" We offer a variety of mutually beneficial programs designed to provide our partners and members with ways to better their own situation, even as they continue to try to better the situation of others.

History

WARM2Kids Charitable Foundation is a new charity foundation, formed in 2003 by WARM2Kids, Inc. Warm2Kids Inc. was established by former NBA World Champion, M.L. Carr to continue his efforts to positively impact the lives of youths, and improve the living situations of families across the nation. M.L.'s efforts started in 1987 with the Bank of Boston "Stand Tall Against Drugs" program, and his passion for providing opportunities and assistance to youths and families in need has continued to grow over the past twenty years. Mr. Carr’s worthwhile efforts truly touched the lives of the youth and families he met, as is evidenced by the continued emotional response and heartfelt thanks he receives from past students and participants of the program.

The “Stand Tall Against Drugs” Program reached over 250,000 students with just one celebrity role model and one corporate role model. The WARM2Kids Charitable Foundation will work with celebrities from all walks of life and corporations from all industries to support millions of young people and their families beginning in 2005. In 2004, we launched our programs by awarding three scholarships to students for tuition, books, and educational needs; granting funds to support three education and character development-based groups; and bringing celebrities to two schools in Massachusetts.
